As the team manager, you will guide the efforts, focus and priorities of a team of creative engineers to achieve program goals. You will also mentor and develop the team, providing career development guidance and supporting their professional growth, and foster an environment of innovation and continuous learning. From a technical standpoint, you will provide technical guidance and feedback to engineers developing robotic automation solutions for testing hardware and software features, drive technical standards across the team, and stay current with emerging robotics technologies and evaluate their potential application to quality testing to keep raising the bar. Operationally, you and your team will be responsible for defining testing strategies along with running and analyzing automation results to quantify the impact of issues and fixes to ensure product quality. You will manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables across multiple automation initiatives.


  • Experience leading technical teams and/or projects with multiple partners
  • Experience effectively collaborating in cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience creating and using robotics and/or mechatronic systems, and signal processing from sensors to extract meaningful and precise data, including computer vision (e.g. OpenCV)
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages


  • Experience developing and mentoring individual contributors
  • Experience with machine learning and AI
  • Strong background in applied mathematics (e.g. linear algebra, transformation matrices)
  • Experience in mechanical design (e.g. CAD) and/or electronic circuit design/troubleshooting
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools
  • Systems Quality Assurance or System Test experience, preferably on consumer-facing Hardware/Software products
  • In-depth understanding of iOS, OS X, or Unix system
