Millions of people rely on digital maps every day to navigate, to discover, to find their way. But maps are only as accurate as the data behind them, and data is only as trustworthy as the people who verify it. As an Online Data Analyst, you will use your knowledge of Austria, together with online research and project guidelines, to review and evaluate map, location, business, and search information. This is a remote, flexible independent contractor opportunity designed for people who can participate regularly each week when tasks are available.
A Day in the Life of an Online Data Analyst
In this role, you will verify, evaluate, and validate geographic and business information using advanced mapping tools and detailed reference materials.
You may work on a variety of tasks, including:
- Review and verify map, business, address, and location information
- Research information using online maps, search engines, directories, and reliable sources
- Compare information from different sources and determine which result is most accurate
- Evaluate German and English language search results and information
- Follow detailed project guidelines when making decisions
- Work across different task types such as Maps, Search/Relevance, Audio, etc.
- Provide accurate evaluations that help improve digital products and AI systems
Training materials, guidelines, and examples are provided.

Qualification path
- Professional fluency in English and German (native or near-native proficiency required)
- Have lived in Austria for the last 5 consecutive years
- In-depth regional, cultural, and geographic knowledge of Austria
- Willingness to work across a diverse set of Task Types (e.g. Maps, News, Audio tasks, Relevance)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to understand and apply project guidelines
- Willingness to participate regularly each week when work is available
- Stable internet connection and access to a personal computer
Qualification path

- Complete an open-book qualification assessment at your own pace within the time given
- Receive your project assignment and access credentials if successful
Service Rates
This is a task-based opportunity rather than an hourly-paid position.
Actual earnings may vary depending on:

Contributors have flexibility in deciding when they participate and how much available work they choose to complete, subject to project availability, qualification requirements, and project quality standards.
While there is no fixed work schedule, the project is intended for contributors who can participate regularly and consistently when tasks are available.
