Subject Coordinator of Educational Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Innovation (Permanent)

Description and Responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, successful candidate will be responsible for K-12 Educational Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Innovation for the Anglophone North School District.

Working closely with the Superintendent and the Director of Curriculum & Instruction you will play a primary leadership role for the development, implementation, and measurement of an Educational Technology and Artificial Intelligence plan that is aligned to support District and School Improvement Planning.

As the successful candidate you will provide leadership across all schools of the district within areas of assigned responsibility as a member of the curriculum and instruction team. The coordinator will supervise instructional lead teachers, work collaboratively with principals within the areas of assigned responsibility, coordinate assessment, instructional programs, resources, and the implementation of research evidence based instructional practices and curriculum implementation. When required or requested the coordinator will identify, develop, and deliver professional learning for principals, teachers, and staff, and will support the delivery of programs that enhance student performance.

As a collaborative team in curriculum and instruction, the coordinator will contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and measurement of the District and School Improvement Planning.

Applicants must possess:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies to perform the required tasks in the specified curriculum areas.
  • Evidence of effective leadership.
  • Experience of successfully leading professional learning opportunities for staff.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Successful administrative/supervisory experience would be considered an asset.
  • Instructional coaching experience in subject would be considered an asset.
  • Class VI certificate and/or master's degree would be considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism would be considered an asset.

  • A valid New Brunswick Teacher's Certificate
  • A minimum of five years successful teaching experience in a public school system
  • A minimum of three professional references (including current direct supervisor)
