Location: Whippany NJ – 3 days hybrid

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python programming, web frameworks, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Integrate applications with databases, third-party APIs, and cloud services.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of applications.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and development teams to define requirements and implement solutions.
• Create technical documentation and maintain project artifacts.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI frameworks.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis.
• Experience with Git version control systems.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Understanding of data processing and analytics tools.
• Experience with AI/ML libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or TensorFlow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in Python development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Generative AI, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector databases.
• Exposure to NLP, Machine Learning, and AI application development.
