Akkodis is seeking a Software Developer II with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field to be considered for this role. You will be responsible for writing well-structured, maintainable code across service layers, APIs, and data models. You’ll participate in design discussions, lead debugging sessions, and help balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability. You’ll also provide guidance to newer team members, uphold coding standards, and contribute meaningfully to Agile planning and reviews.


Rate Range: $40/hr. to $50/hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Software Developer II responsibilities include:

  • Develop moderately complex features with minimal oversight
  • Maintain and enhance legacy systems and services
  • Contribute to new development in Node.js and modern .NET
  • Work across both frontend and backend code, as needed
  • Collaborate with QA and product teams to validate and refine functionality
  • Participate in architectural discussions and team improvement efforts
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to peers
  • Support production deployments and resolve technical issues



Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related fieldis required.
  • Minimum Three years related experience
  • Experience in front end and back end development is required
  • JavaScript/Node.js, and React experience is required
  • Solid experience with SQL databases and exposure to MongoDB is required
  • Experience in Agile development environments with Azure DevOps is required
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Agile processes
